LO Maintenance Facility Phase II, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska

Design and construction of a hangar with 2 bays supporting low observable (LO) and composite repair maintenance (CRX) required on the F-22 aircraft. This project was designed and is being constructed to meet the Air Force Sustainable Design and Development policy as well as Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) standards.

Cordova, Alaska

This project will replace 20 units of existing family housing with 26 units of new housing in Cordova, Alaska. The project will construct 13 duplex structures, including utilities and site improvements, and demolish the existing 5 four-plex housing structures. The project will also provide a new children’s playground shelter and equipment, an exterior playground area, and a handicapped-accessible ramp to the existing housing area’s community building.

This project was designed and is being constructed to meet Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) standards.

Las Vegas, Nevada

Construction of the new Surface Movement Radar (SMR) Tower at the McCarran International Airport was recently completed by Bethel Services. This project consisted of the installation of a new 150 ft. steel tower with an elevator, installation of a new equipment shelter building with a 100kw generator, and all support systems for the generator. Additional work included upgrades to the fiber-optic system and site electrical services.

This project required extensive coordination with the users of the site as well as operating within the strict conditions of the airfield boundaries. Bethel Services conducted considerable coordination with a number of government agencies and utilities including Clark County, McCarran’s Department of Aviation, the FAA and local utility companies. Bethel Services also provided all project management, on-site project supervision, and all electrical installation for this contract.

Noorvik, Alaska

Bethel Services was contracted to construct a new 4,000 sq.ft. addition to the Noorvik Clinic and remodel the existing 2,000 sq.ft. clinic space. Bethel Services prepared the site, installed piles, provided and connected water and sewer lines, and constructed and completed all building components including stairs, ramps, shell, interior framing, siding, and roofing.

Work included the installation of a complete new mechanical system, electrical service, new administrative areas, complete dental clinic, as well as site improvements and parking lot development. The project also included the construction of a warm storage shed at the site. Bethel was able to utilize an 80% local hire work force throughout the course of this project.

Deering, Alaska

Northwest Arctic School Borough District contracted with Bethel Services to provide all labor and materials necessary to demo and replace the existing metal roof with a metal Klip-Rib roof.

Shungnak, Alaska

Northwest Arctic School Borough District contracted with Bethel Services to complete this remote Alaskan school improvement. Project included interior remodel, exterior decking replacement, cabinetry installs, boiler system replacement, electrical upgrades, data cabling, and finish upgrades to classrooms and administrative offices. Key components of this project are extensive asbestos and chemical hazards removal and disposal.
